 “Everything looks better in a frame.”

Yesterday I signed and framed this small 6x8“ landscape.  I painted it at John MacDonald’s workshop on Cape Cod last Oct. John says he has a ritual at the end of the day of sliding his work into a frame and it always looks better. Then he can evaluate it with fresh eyes the next morning when he returns to the studio.
