I painted this over the winter when I was wishing I could go for a long walk on a sandy beach.  For the reference, I used a friend's photo as the jumping off the point.  It could be anywhere.  The beach is a state of mind, I like to think.  

It's a small painting, 6 inches by 6 inches, with its frame, it's about 8 x 8 inches. The frame is made of wood and has a soft silver finish with black on the edges.

The clouds and beach have lots of visible brush strokes.
