Morning Light is one of my on-going project titles. The idea is to let myself observe and explore what goes on in the morning in my house when the light tends to be the best, and when I am fresh. I love the morning--the idea of a new day, a hot cup of coffee and the excitement I feel.
One day I saw the light come through the window and it hit the doorknob in a way that was magical. Of course, I didn't have my camera, and the light lasted only seconds. But, that's what I wanted to feel again when I created this project title: the joy of discovery, the magic in the everyday-ness of our life, as well as acknowledging that life is transitory.
This image doesn't really have great light. But it does have a bit of the mood I am going for. I don't seem to be able to stop myself from making closeups of flowers.
I think I am ready for a new project, like Cottage Quiet from last summer, but I am not sure this is the one that really grabs me enough to keep me energized to follow through with it.
Comments are welcome. Have I said that recently? I really do appreciate the emails and comments that I receive about my blog entries.
